Fire Alarm System
Fire Detection System in India or Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) is an early warning system designed for industrial or residential spaces. A Fire Alarm System is a passive system, means it does not stop the fire from spreading.
The main function of a Fire Alarm System is to give an early warning, that the fire has taken place in the factory or residential complex. This means that, the people in proximity to that area have an early warning to evacuate the building. However the fire will continue to burn, unless if an active system like Fire Hydrant System or Fire Sprinkler System is engaged. The second function of the Fire Alarm System is to, alert the responsible authorities. Here the authorities may be the local Fire Department or the Emergency Action team.

- Addressable Fire Alarm System
- Conventional Fire Alarm System
Addressable Fire Alarm System:
Addressable Fire Alarm Systems are also called Smart Fire Alarm Systems. This is because along with detection of fire they provide the location of the fire. When the fire spreads the FAS, alert accordingly. In addition they may provide an array of other specific services. Up to 250 devices may be connected, to the main control panel of the Fire Alarm System.
Conventional Fire Alarm System:
Conventional Fire Alarm Systems are simple FAS. Their primary function is to alert the occupants that a fire has taken place. Insert component pictures and single line specification/description.
Fire Hydrant System
Fire hydrant system has been mainstay used to fight medium to large sized fires, the fire hydrant system has a long range and hence firemen find it safe to extinguish large fires; as the fire can be attacked from long distance and in varied angles. If maintained well the hydrant systems have long life.
Contemporarily fire hydrant system is no longer limited to hydrant valves and accessories like RRL/CP hoses/Branch pipes. Newer systems like water monitors, foam monitors, tower monitor etc are being used depending upon hazard and is best extinguishing agent.
Though water has been the principle extinguishing agent foams, foam bladders, deluge valves etc are also being used. The pump house becomes the heart of hydrant system especially when it is designed after the complete hydraulic calculations taking in to account the flow, velocity, Head and pumping capacity with corresponding reservoir to extinguish the hazard and also provides abundant precaution.

Fire Sprinkler System
The “Sprinkler” is a heat sensing device. Sprinkler Systems are of various types, temperature ranges and designs. The heat sensing element (of the Sprinkler) is pointed to the floor or to the area most prone to fire. The other end of the Sprinkler is connected to a network of pipes storing water under high pressure.
When there is a fire, near a Sprinkler; whose temperature is higher than the temperature rated value of the heat sensing element in the Sprinkler. The bulb present inside the Sprinkler or the heat sensing device bursts and water flows through the Sprinkler Systems under pressure directly on to the fire affected area.
